AND THEN THERE WERE NONE BY AGATHA CHRISTIE

Genre: Crime Fiction

Rate: 5 stars

Full disclosure: this was my first Agatha Christie book and definitely not my last.

“Forewarned is forearmed”

And Then There Were None sees ten strangers who are lured to the Devon Coast by a mysterious person through a letter. At dinner a recorded message accuses each one of them of having a guilty secret and by the end of the night one of the guests is dead. Stranded by a violent storm and haunted by an ancient nursery rhyme counting down one by one…as one by one they begin to die. Which amongst them is the killer and will any of them survive?

‘There was something magical about an island – the mere word suggested fantasy. You lost touch with the world – an island was a world of its own.’

This book was so compelling that I could not put it down!! I ended up finishing it in one sitting. Agatha’s writing is flawless with witty, smart, arrogant  characters. The mystery and suspense in this book will keep you on edge. I loved that the plot was not predictable though it was fun trying to guess the killer. With a series of plot twists, And Then There Were None will blow your mind!

‘You can’t never tell at sea-never!’

  1. I still haven’t read an Agatha Christie book yet, but I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! I’ll have to add it to my TBR to try out since I’m a Christie newbie too.

    Have a lovely day!
