‘You only get one life, it’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible’

Another 5 star book I read this year is Me Before You by JojoMoyes. I had seen it a lot on bookstagram and read raving reviews about it that my interest was piqued.

Synopsis
Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an ordinary life and has barely been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life – big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel – and now he is pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

My Take
I had no problems with reading this book. It was neither slow nor fast. I highly appreciated the fact that there was no instant romance as it is the case in most romance novels. The character development is amazing. I fell in love with Lou’s fun, witty, sarcastic character and she brought on so much life in this book.
The plot itself is great and deals with a few themes the core one being Will’s desire to die. Having lost the ability to do most things Will wants to die and does not make life easy for himself and those around him. Here comes Louisa who has to take care of Will and tries to show him that there’s more to life than he thinks.
It is an emotional read and is quite sappy at some point but a lovely read all together. I highly recommend.
